People sometimes ask why I don’t spend much time backstage at the bigger festivals I play.

 

The truth is, if you took the time to come see me, I want to take the time to see you. I genuinely love these moments; the hugs, the conversations, the familiar faces, and the new ones too.

 

I didn’t get photos with any of the headliners this year. I probably should have, or so I’ve been told… But I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything. This is why I do it. This is the part that stays with me long after the lights go down.
